At the age of ten, Fritz Salomon discovered the first traces of the "Alchemy Treasure": sunken bricks in the floor of the former sacristy of the castle chapel.
From 1980 onwards, over a thousand objects were recovered — the most extensive inventory of its kind: an alchemist's laboratory in "high-tech execution" from the Renaissance, primarily for examining metal alloys and ore samples.
Tip: By prior arrangement, the Alchemist Museum in the former community center of Kirchberg opens — guided tours with Dr. von Osten.
